The Story of the Subconscious Mind and the Aura

(yes this means I was time hosed over the weekend).

The Story of the Subconscious Mind and the Aura

Let’s start with an assumption.  Let’s assume that the Subconscious Mind and the Conscious Mind dichotomy is mostly a story.  That story, from a radically different point of view, is the Aura.  Of course, all of those terms are horribly conflicted even within themselves, but they do offer a starting point.

These terms are metaphors, which are simply information patterns which describe certain qualities of interaction in the creation of ‘Self’ to ‘Other’, and the creation of ‘Self’ to ‘Universe’.  Even the ending point of where the Aura or individual Subconscious ends may in fact be arbitrary.  In a way, the Far Eastern and highest forms of Kaballah mostly seem to lead towards that unified approach.

I am not, for the purposes of this course, interested in diving into philosophy.  That would go on forever, but I do have to make that assumption that they are both just information streams describing similar processes. If that is true, there are a lot of testable and interesting hypothesis that become available.

First,   a change to the Subconscious Mind must result in a change to the Aura.  This idea, I have personally tested numerous times.  I get a sensitive medium to assist me.  I have them scan the person beforehand and take notes regarding their initial perceptions. I then hypnotize someone and use NLP to change things around in their mind.  I have the sensitive come back and write down any changes in their perceptions.  More often then not, depending on the metaphors the sensitive is using, they mostly “get the gist”.  The language can be very different.  Instead of “hypnotic triggers”, they might tell me how I “removed soul debt” or “got rid of energy blocks”.

Likewise, a change to the energy system must result in a change to the cognitive structures of the mind.  When I do energy work on a person, I define success in terms that there must be observable behavioral changes.  When I have done energy healings on a person and could follow up, this consistently occurs, although there seems to be a time delay depending on the style of ritual work (I will cover that in a minute).

Keep in mind, the subconscious mind has A LOT to do with the body.  In fact, most of the body’s biological processes are regulated by the Subconscious Mind.  A change to the body, means the Subconscious Mind will interpret and react (and may keep some or most of that hidden form the Conscious Mind).  Likewise, a change to the body will result in a change the Aura as well. If you have ever done serious health work, and then have backslidden, people can tell that’s the case.

In a way these are all just information metaphors for systems.

Distort, Manipulate, Destroy or Create and then Transmit
One of the problems with Magic and also with Life, is that the Subconscious Mind has a tendency to distort, manipulate, destroy or create information when transmitting to match the current tendencies and patterns already established.  The goal of the Subconscious Mind metaphor is to keep us alive and safe.  Think about that.
When we set our mind to do something, if it is not in alignment with past things, the Subconscious Mind tends to sabotage us.  So we go out to be confident, but we have experienced past rejections and pain, so our intentions send out mixed physical signals. The information sent out is not a clear signal with even the physical senses. If the Subconscious Mind is acting in observable ways to act like a filter with direct connections, we must assume it is acting this way with the multitude of psychic information sources as well.

Distort, Manipulate, Destroy or Create and then Receive
Likewise, when we talk about receiving, that information is distorted, manipulated and controlled to maintain a status quo. The information coming in from physical and psychic sources is distorted, manipulated, created or destroyed to fit the current patterns of information in the Subconscious Mind. This is why most rituals seem to “have no effect.” Simply put, the signal IN has to be stronger than the information pattern (or energy) of what is currently inside.  Signal clarity and strength matter.

All is not lost
The Subconscious Mind and, in some cases, the untrained Auric field works to maintain the status quo within the Self. However, we all have our own administrative ‘over-ride’.  In doing the sliding anchor and the positive memory techniques, many of you already saw that there were differences in the quantum flow.  Basically, the universe did seem to reflect different possibilities.

In a way, for a temporary period, the work you did was a switch.  Major rituals or rituals perceived as coming from an “expert” or someone who is “powerful”, can shift a lot more internal structures, and do so a lot more quickly.  Of course, some people may have enough actual information clarity and signal aptitude to force the changes, but even that is dependent on what the other person’s metaphors are.I will give you several examples as food for thought.

Allow me to just say, don’t judge the chaos magician who dares:

Mixed Failure 1:
I had a client that I knew needed to do something akin to water energy, which works at a fundamental level.  I worked through my system of metaphors to see which things I have that seem to resonate with the work. I came up with the Arch Angel Gabriel- somewhat because I know Gabriel and somewhat because I know the person has responded well to angelic like presences well in the past. However, that person had radically shifted towards an exclusive Celtic paradigm.   The Information patterns were not consistent with the other changes they had made to their own information patterns.

Ultimately, the person worked with ManannĂ¡n who is a Celtic sea god.  The aspect of water, coming with compatible information and acceptable information metaphors worked for her.  At the time, she had no connection with that god form.  After the Gabriel work, which on the surface did not work, the god form (ManannĂ¡n) pops up.  The Subconscious tweaked the information pattern to be consistent with the internal patterns.  It got the message of ‘water’ but rejected the information around it.  Of course, that change was not overnight at all.

Success State 1:
So, a Xenos church moved into my area and they were getting quite annoying visiting homes, including mine.  So to have some fun, I decided to help them out a little.  Within the information patterns of “Christianity” especially Xenos, the figure of Satan looms large. It is ever present.  Mostly, however people just give it lip service.
With a friend, we went into the parking lot and did an impromptu summoning of Satan, to help them with their faith.  It was a very meditative and mellow affair, but a few things happened right afterward. Really, the amplitude of the signal was pretty low for what we did, but it was amazingly consistent.
In the weeks and months following the “summoning”, the church went ballistic about Satan “testing” them and, in fact, numerous members of the congregation had uncomfortable revelations about their “personal lives”.  The pastors all attributed this to “Satan” and Satan became, not just a boogy man, but the Real Deal.  They were fully under spiritual attack.  A couple weeks later someone drew a Satanic symbol with “Hail Satan” on their garbage can, (NOT us) which only heightened their fear.  By what I heard, through some people I knew who had back channel connections to the church, this kept going for months.

The amplitude of what we did was low but very clean and it fit right in with expectations.  Think about that- really think about that, and about internal information patterns in relation to transmission and reception.

Success State 2:
This is a type of extended Baphomet example.  We were doing a ritual involving Baphomet in a forest. I had worked HARD ahead of time to instill certain anchors throughout the day. These anchors included:
1.              This ritual will be Hard Core.
2.              Ominous predictions
3.              Supporting details and information
4.              Other people extoling my ritual ability (Authority and Credibility building)
5.              Previous experiences with Baphomet

We set up a physical circle within a sweat house structure.  The wood was there, but nothing else.  The ritual called for calling our internal/external “demons” around us and then having Baphomet transmute them.  Solve Et Coagula right.

We did this at night. Everyone got freaked out.  Everyone saw eyes in the darkness.  Physical eyes that they thought were a bear or larger.  People got their knives out. This was good and internally consistent information with high Signal Amplitude and Signal Clarity (aka a formal ritual with a force that multiple participants knew VERY well).

Think about it, what is ritual but a set of procedures to create information changes.  The ritual actually began at dawn that day, when we started to “create” expectations with various psychological techniques.  That is not to say this was ‘all in their head’. No one at the ritual would say that was true, but certainly having consistent information added to a real transformative experience and weird physical manifestations.

Receiving the Signal (the underrated skill)
Chaos magic, in general, de-emphasizes divination as a skill.  In some cases rightfully so, but from an information/energy sorcery POV it is absolutely critical to have receptive skills, and more to the point, to recognize that you already have receptive skills or at least your subconscious mind does.

If you think about language and information transmission, it is an interpreted construct.  Now, without the physical cues, information that travels into the psyche from outside sources has to have to have an internal model. That internal model is, of course, comprised from internal metaphors and organization.  Think about that for a minute.

This is why no two diviners ever get the same message.  There may very well be a message, but it is impossible to separate the message from the messenger.  So, the message might be correct, but the symbols and god forms are not as easily adapted to the person the message is for.

If we have an internal structure for something, our Subconscious Mind does comparisons against the vast information it has available about one topic and then presents it to the Conscious Mind in a sort of “IT is This” label.  That label may or may not be correct in terms of psychic phenomenon, but more often then not, depending on the level of connection, it is correct.

Let’s say someone is working with Papa Legba from Vodou.  They come to me for divination services and  I have no idea who they are working with, but I ask them, do you work with Papa Legba?  Why? Because my Subconscious Mind picks up a certain set of vibrations and sensations that it has labeled as Papa Legba.  It does this very quickly.  Now, suppose instead that someone comes to ‘Shaman Vitimus’, as it were, and I have no idea what’s with them.  It just produces this certain set of vibrations in when I tune in.  I tell them “here’s what I get”.  They respond, “Oh that’s (this being)”.  Fair enough, but now I have a “handle” aka a Name.

So lets talk about that tuning in.  It turns out, you already have all the skills you need.

Tuning in

Some Guidelines before we start

1.              Understand that each person will receive signals in their own unique way.  There is no set of sensory information that is correct, and transmission might actually force a recollection of past memories or even fantasy.  This is an information change and would be consistent with information transfer.
2.              We are playing mutual telephone games of interpretive transmission and reception all the time.  When we get to the exercises, remember the platinum rule:
Note the subtle differences between one state and another.  The differences between when someone is broadcasting to you and when they are in the natural/neutral state, and give your mind the handle it needs to dive in.
3.              Interpretation of the incoming information means you are biased, there is no way around that.
4.              Sub modality work and creating ‘on the fly’ metaphors are your golden key.  Focusing on the “absolute” reality of the metaphor will lead no-where with this type of work.

So what do we do now?

TUNING IN:  Exercise with a Tree or Plant
First, clear your signal. Banish or use the Relaxation Lever.  Focus the mind within.  Those with some Zen training, yes let the thoughts go.

Breathe as deeply as you can. Feel, see, and hear your blood flowing around your body.  Relax deeper and see, feel and hear that flow and the movement.

Place one hand on a sturdy plant or a tree.  Use whatever hand seems to work easier.

Now, imagine what it would be like if that flow flowed into the tree.  Do this for a couple minutes.

Place your other hand on the tree. Imagine what it would be like if the flow started to come back into you from the tree.

Relax and pay attention to the differences with what is coming in.

Tuning IN:  With a (living) Person you Love (Detached Empathy)
Get a picture of someone you know and enjoy. Record the time you are starting.

Just like in the last example, first, clear your signal, aka banish or use the Relaxation Lever.  Focus the mind within.  Those with some Zen training, yes let the thoughts go.

Now, focus on the picture and breathe deeply.  Just pay attention to what pops in your mind.  Perhaps you will recall memories; perhaps certain sensations will pop up as you breathe deeply. Just let it flow. Try to breathe deeply and focus on the picture for 15 minutes.  Notice the changes.

If you get some weird information, just call and ask the other person if there was anything odd going on with them around the time you were doing this. You have to be delicate about it, and not put a suggestion in.  But if you were picking up stress and they say “Oh yeah, I was in a meeting with the boss at that time”, your right on the money.

The key is to just notice the difference. You could do the same picture at different times to see if there are different information flows.

Use the relaxation method with a positive sliding anchor emotion after you are done.  Laugh out loud.

Tuning In:  Something you don’t like

This exercise requires a lot more self-control, and it is critical to do.  Remember, the sensory information you get is only information.  Your reactions are information.

Banish and use the relaxation lever.

Get a picture of someone or someplace you don’t like
Breathe deeply and stare at the picture.  Yes this is uncomfortable.  Notice any sensations or memories that pop up (or if they are there and then go away).

Do this for 15 minutes.
Then Banish with Extreme Prejudice and trigger a sliding anchor to “get happy”.

Amping the Signal.
When you are in receiving mode and accepting anything that comes your way, make sure to banish afterwards.   It is vitally important to reset your information /energy system, since you never know what is coming with the energy/information you are receiving.

When you are receiving, what can you do to turn up the signal?  You already know how to do sliding anchors and sub modality work.  By focusing on the differences, you can focus on amplifying what you come to know as any of these tuning in exercises.  You can try these in many different examples.

Try the above exercises, and this time add details and use the sliding anchor techniques.

An example set for this could look like the following:

·      Banishing
·      Relaxation Sliding Anchor
·      Focus on the Target, and go into Reception Mode.
·      Take whatever you get as far as sensations, and use your mind to amplify the sensations.  This will essentially further attune you to the source.  Essentially, you have to keep focusing on the sensations.  This will further amplify the signal.
·      You could throw in a metaphor to turn the dial from normal psychic to extreme psychic if you have already made one.
·      Keep breathing deeply.
·      Go as far into the sensations as possible for 15 minutes.
·      Banish again.
·      Laugh out Loud.

To master this takes a little practice, but this is a powerful technique once you get it down.

Receptive Anchors, Radionics and Seals while refining.
Now, I can not go as far into this as I would like to in context of this course.   Once you work through and get a clean signal, you could create a seal or sigil to represent the connection as an anchor.  Then use a sliding anchor idea to connect through the seal or sigil.
In some ways, the multiple dials used in Radionics does exactly this.  The Radionics methods are a method of kinesthetic and visual tuning in that uses more and more complex styles of kinesthetic divination.  Of course, for the most part, it starts with simple pendulum divinations.
You could take this further and use any divination system to which you are attuned to give you feedback on the connection and advice on how to streamline and connect better to a person or thing.  So while you are connecting, you can throw the divination set down to get clues on how to better connect to the target.

Of course the target could be a tree, it could be a person, or it could be an aspect of yourself.  In part II, we will deal with the projection parts

Volcano Active Exercise Meditation

Volcano and Temple in Hawaii ( almost certainly sacred to Pele)
Certainly after experiment to do the wellness and fitness without energy work, and seeing what would happen, I shifted back to doing active meditations and energy work with the exercise.    Now, all told I am down about 15 lbs in 2 weeks.  My experiment being over, you, my beloved reader get some new techniques of exercised meditation and magic.

After a long conversation with a friend yesterday, he  kinda accidently went with the conversation to areas that I really feel betrayed by an individual and in some ways an organization.   I believe I am justified in feeling betrayed but that does not matter.  Of course, I have become way more gun shy with many things.  Carrying around that negativity and anger is not productive.  It is just resentment that has no output or productive use.  In this case, there really isn't a method of reconcilation.   If you are in the business of the occult, that probably sadly is very close to the norm.  But this one point of resentment over betrayal really kinda connects to resentment over the issues,  it becomes a web of well.. bad and wasted energy.

This exercise is unbelievably simple but quite potent.  Make sure you have water.  If you deep enough into the meditation, your body will react.

I recommend first doing a Charka Balancing.  Mostly, this initial step just helps with the energy flow. If you do not do this,  there can be some painful parts to this exercise.

After the chakra balancing,  get on a cycle machine.  I like the cycle machine, but any exercise where you are stable and its repetitive is great.   The key is that it must be a repetitive and stable environment.  As you are going deeper into the meditation, you are liable to loose some body control.  That is good, if you are doing it right.  Be Safe.

Start diving into the cycling.  Cycle for a good 5 minutes and purposefully try to slow your breathing.  While cylcing this is not a trivial task.   If you can do the Microcosmic Orbit, this is very helpful to build up the energy flow.

While continuing to cycle, use all five senses to imagine yourself at a volcano.   I prefer, to see myself at like Mt. Doom ( from Lord of the Rings), but any view where you can look down at the lava is great.  This is extraordinarily hot, and you should feel the hot. This actually helps with the cycling and Chi.  It will boost things up.  Now, start to really cycle hard.  As you are fully immersed in this, throw anything negative  or stressful that is bothering you into the volcano.  You might see faces of people, colors, vibe..... various sounds... just anything that comes up that is negative bundle it up and chuck it.   See it get burned and trapped in the lava.  Do this for 20 minutes, its great exercise and the cycling will allow you to move energy around fast.

Lava has some great attributes for this.  First, Lava is extrodinarily hot, meaning the negative gets burned away fast.  Second,  things in Lava tend to sink and get trapped.  So this is a doubly great technique.  Because it is so hot, you may if you are really deep, have some kundalini effects.  If you do, and perceive and blocks in your system, well take those blocks and chuck them too.  Slight shaking helps the effect.  Obviously, I am in a gym doing this and full on Seething... might be a little too unsightly.

Advanced Meditative Technique
If you have been at an actual volcano, you can try to make an arrangement with the spirit of the Volcano and even bring a piece of volcanic rock for you to hold while you are doing this exercise.   This is more way more effective of a technique.  Just doing the exercise with that is quite powerful since you have just a bit of physical Materia to link everything together.  Of course, you have to have the resources to get to an active and safe volcano.

Finishing up
Clearing this up is great but do some additional meditative work to replace what you burned away.  Nature hates a vacuum so do not leave the choice of what to replace it with up to chance.   I prefer to do something like Walking Condensing Breathing since it packs new and fresh Chi in, still lets your body cool down, and is great exercise.  Either way following up the Volcano with some Tai Chi or Qigong is great way to pack great energy in.

Notice, these combine the energy work with the body motion so you are achieving multiple goals at once. Anytime you try to do weightloss, emotional blocks and energy blocks will come up to the surface. Doing this type of exercise, purifies you while you are detoxifying energetically, spirituality, and physically. Sometimes, without it, the emotional roadblocks get rough.

Practical Chakra Empowering ( Version 2 with Transpersonal additions )

So if you haven't noticed, I have been focusing a lot on some core fundamentals, and lot of this blog will start to go back to Hoodoo techniques. Just the very simple but powerful techniques.  This is part of my personal plan.  In another post, I went into a fair amount of detail about a method of Chakra work from an energy work/energy manipulation method.  To understand this iteration, you will need to go check out that first chakra empowerment post.  Read it, then come back to this.

This basic idea was very simple.  Use all five of your senses to hyper spin the Chakras.  Then add memetic and traditional devices to help you get in resonance with each Chakra.  Work up from base to crown, hyper-spinning each Chakra.  The faster spinning clears out the negativity, purifies the entire system, and builds the strength of each Chakra.  It is a pretty succinct and powerful way to build Chakra strength, and have more energy.  I have done it, and this works well.

This second variation on these theme includes some components of the the Transpersonal Chakra work (which I will describe)  and is much more powerful, but takes a little longer.

Basic Technique

In general, the base technique is mostly the same as described in that first chakra empowerment post, but the ordering and steps between Chakras is different.  The first exercise goes through each Chakra and then goes through the last step of going through them a second time while keeping them all spinning.   Inevitably, the hyperspinning of the Chakra slows down very quickly.   While it's possible to keep the Chakras in mind, they still tend to slow down to optimal (normal), not hypernormal mode once you move past one Chakra.  As I covered in the first article, hyperspinning them forces them to balance out impurities and grow stronger.  It does not make them overly active.  The notion of overactive Chakras to me seems to come from the imbalance of one Chakra compared to the over activeness of other Chakras.  The hyperspinning balances that out in relation to the others, and moves toward a certain kind of ascention (to use the new age parlance).

To get past the slowing down of one Chakra while still in the meditation, what I did was as follows: Hyperspinning was the technique I gave in that first chakra empowerment post.

Root Chakra  1st  BASE
Relax  -> Hyperspin the Root Chakra

Swadhishthan ( 2nd Chakra) Genitalia
Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra

Manipoor ( 3rd Chakra)  Solar Plexus
Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra

Anahata (4th Chakra)  Heart

Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra -> Hyperspin the Anahata Chakra

Vishuddhi ( 5th) Throat

Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra -> Hyperspin the Anahata Chakra -> Hyperspin the Vishuddhi Chakra

Ajna ( 6th)  Third Eye

Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra -> Hyperspin the Anahata Chakra -> Hyperspin the Vishuddhi Chakra -> Hyperspin the Ajna Chakra

Sahastrasar (7th)  Crown
Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra -> Hyperspin the Anahata Chakra -> Hyperspin the Vishuddhi Chakra -> Hyperspin the Ajna Chakra -> Hyperspin the  Sahastrasar Chakra

What does this do?

In practice, when we get to each Chakra using this iteration of the exercise  it gets easier and easier to spin them, and they feel like they spin more powerfully.  After doing this, I find that I have alot more energy and feel stronger, well balanced and very even/stable.

By doing this exercise in this stepwise function, we make sure that the Chakras are in a hyper performing mode when you move to the next level.  The Chakra's slow down relatively quickly from one level to the next, but when doing this exercise, it seems like a journey where you have just the right escape velocity to move from one level to the next.   Each step feels like a journey.   This method has been far more effective then the first style of work.

Transpersonal Chakras

This was probably the least offensive image I could find for the Transpersonal Chakras and it implies the alchemical purpose of these Chakras.  The Transpersonal Chakra's are a controversial topic in new age and metaphysical thought.  Conflicting versions exist in Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and more.  Some people would say they don't exist.  Some people say they are a way for people to "claim" spiritual power over each other acting like a guru.

In my meditation, I did before doing more research, after doing this on the Crown Chakra I did feel 3 more layers above my head.   Now, the personal effects of this are very hard to detail.

The Casual Chakra roughly, I have envisioned right above the crown at most 4 finger widths.  I almost think this is something attached to the the crown or intimately connected to the crown.  Now, this particular Chakra seems to connect to the past lives.  I have had trouble verifying this in my experimentation, but I will say that as I have worked with this, I have and information and knowledge enter into my consciousness that I probably could not have just gotten.  Verifiable magical information.  Past Life is as good an explanation as any, although the information comes more like a download then beautiful visions of some long lost time.  The information is there, but much of the context around when and where is not.  Generally, I see this as a silver, sometimes as a Iridescent.  It isn't quite that I ever get visions.  Now this Chakra does not seem directly in the path of the rising surge of energy that the hyperspinning produces.  You have to kinda want to just work with this one directly, and meditate on it.  The research is totally conflicted, but this is my take on it.
Alternate take on the transpersonal chakras.

The Soul Star Chakra
That 12th Chakra point is golden in my opinion.  To me this point connects to what I would consider in western magic as the HGA, in a more energy vibrational form.  It is essentially, the highest aspirations of you.  I do not really have a good western analog and working with this Chakra is hard to vocalize the effects.  I usually just notice good luck, clearer ideas of where I am headed and the like.  This is relatively easy to connect to from the Crown Chakra.  Ironically, without being too flakey, the solar disk portrayed in many Eqyptian gods and goddesses, I think refers to this point.  Now the research is conflicted whether or not there is more up the change.  I have felt one more about 3 feet above the head, but shooting into this one is tough to hold and gets very, very trippy.  It is almost more like being involved in a web, and you start seeing visions of other places and times while not knowing what is real and what is not real.

What I think happens when you open the 12th Chakra in this way, is that it allows Shen to fill the body.   Shen is spiritual energy in Chinese Medicine.  Its the best term I have for this.  Spiritual energy is usually not very "dense" with Jing being the most dense form of energy (aka blood tissue).  When the system is flooded with this spiritual energy, it packs down into the system and refills the Chi of the body, but refills it with purpose aligned with that Self.  To me that "Higher Self" is neither really higher, nor really clearly understandable, but I have seen immense increases in magical and actualized (as in testable) spiritual power, after working with Chakra.

To Finish the Exercise

Although you could direct the energy to the Causal Chakra, it is easier to use the hyperspinning technique on the Crown Chakra and then boost up.  Again, this is like leaving at just the right speed.

So add the last step:

Soul Star ( Solar?)  Chakra
Relax ->  Hyperspin the Root Chakra ->  Hyperspin the Swadhishthan Chakra -> Hyperspin the Manipoor Chakra -> Hyperspin the Anahata Chakra -> Hyperspin the Vishuddhi Chakra -> Hyperspin the Ajna Chakra -> Hyperspin the  Sahastrasar Chakra  ->  Hyperspin the Soul Star Chakra.

Now after you hyperspin the Soul Star, allow the energy to flow back into your system from that higher Chakra.  This has a VERY similar effect to the middle pillar exercise and to me it is both comforting and relaxing.  If you are correctly grounding, this will feel very much like being connected to heaven and earth at the same time.   Essentially, you become the Axis Mundi.

You could hyperspin the Soul Star and reach out to the next Chakra 3 feet above the head as I have found, but be prepared.  It gets weird and you will loose track of time in the visions and mixtures of past, present, future, existing and non-existing.  I consider this last section experimental.  If you have questions, feel free to ask me.

Walking Condensing Breathing as Spiritual Weightlifting.

Condensing Breathing is one of the exercises that is probably the core of Sifu Clyman's Chigung system.  It involves pulling energy into the centerline of the body and links from the horizontal plane by squeezing your sphincters muscles.  He freely gives this at:

http://www.chikung.com/wp-content/files/IKFCBHandout.pdf

To understand the walking variant of this, you'll have to understand the above.  There is a couple fine points to the above listing.  Sifu Clyman probably will not agree with these, but in practice I find they help a tremendous amount.

First, you have to squeeze your sphincter muscles and kind of tuck your your hips and spin under. Its more like raising  and tucking your tailbone in, while compressing your sphincter.  You have to do this on each inhale.

Second,  some people are not very energy sensitive.  This will take time to develop.  To Suck Energy is actually somewhat of a confusing metaphor.    Instead use your senses on inhale to know you are pulling in the vibe of the surroundings on inhale by imagining the sights, sounds, feelings, etc pulling and condensing into the center of your limbs.  Eventually, you'll get more sensitive to Chi, but this will speed up the process.

Third, on exhale, you are holding on to the Chi and not releasing it.  This means you are pulling energy and keeping energy from the environment.  This is a very Yang Chigung technique.  If you know about Taoist metaphysics, it will help to generate Yin Chi.  Again, using all your senses at first to imagine and know keeping the energy inside on exhale.  On exhale also, you release your sphincters.  Unfortunately, the physical action of the releasing the sphincter muscles tends to cause the energy to release.  You have to stay focused on this phase.  The exhale, I believe is the hardest part of the exercise.  If you release the energy, there's much less benefit to the exercise.

Fourth, the environment matters.  While it is true that condensing the Chi in this matter has a purifying effect on the Chi (meaning it does not in the long term matter where you condense Chi), the starting quality of the Chi has an impact on the effectiveness of the condensing.   Basically, if I go to a forest, and condense breath, I find I get a greater and more pronounced effect.  If I am condensing breathe while in the middle of a LBRP, I get a greater and more pronounced effects then if I were doing this on the street.    THINK about that.  So if you Condense Breathe in your temple, you get more of the energies of the temple flowing into you and condensing.  Just think about that for a minute.  Apply as you will.

Five, this takes energy from the horizontal plane... meaning from circles around you.  For this exercise do not pull energy into the top of your head or up through your feet.

Walking Condensing Breath

In addition to using the senses,  it is possible to do the condensing breath while walking.  I have found
I very much like this.  I learned this from Sifu Martin while I was down in Columbus and have been tweaking the exercise.  Now it is possible to compress the sphincters and walk.  Physically, this sensation is very odd.   Obviously, you cannot put yourself into a horse stance, with your toes pointed in,  but you should try to walk with slightly bent knees and try to be mindful of keeping your toes and knees aligned forward.  Try not to lock your knees.   It may look a little weird to have your arms at your-side, but it does work with the walking.

Start out by tucking your tailbone and compressing your sphincter muscles on inhale and walking around your practice space.  Try to take even and measured steps.  Speed up your walking speed.   To make this very effective, keep your breathing pattern at 4 seconds in with 4 seconds out with no pausing between breathe while walking.  This actually becomes difficult at times as you are compressing the breath.  Your body will want to take what I call hiccup short breathes as if you were running.  You have to keep the focus and keep walking.

On exhale, still just release the internal muscles and hold on to the energy.

Add the last phase add the mental components, of sucking energy on inhale using all your senses.  To me this is where the body really takes those hiccup breathes sometimes as a reaction to the increasing Yang energy, sometimes as a result of bio-mechanics.    Again, you must keep your focus on exhaling.

Once you practice this inside for a bit, then go outside.  This exercise keeps you in a mild-medium trance state and you must get used to how it affects your perception.  The pavement, grass, or even the forest are not even ground so it requires you to keep doing this exercise on mixed terrain.  Practice first, then go outside.

Some points to remember.    When walking try to take a similar sized-stride each time.  Try to keep your foot that is moving as close to the ground as possible as you move it.  Breathe in 4 second in and out patterns (this is tougher then it seems while walking vigorously).  Try to keep your spine upright and aligned while walking and doing this exercise.  While walking, as much as possible, keep as much focus on the energy condensing.  Unlike the standing exercise you must reserve some concentration for environment, but with practice you can pull alot of Chi in while walking.

Clyman's book the The Chi Kung Bible: Beyond Self-Help: Mastering Personal Power
has some very useful information in there and I would get it.   I learned this exercise directly form Master Clyman.  I originally got the Nei Gung program for ALOT of money (and I have to ask him questions on sooner or later).  BUT... with Sifu Clyman there is ALOT you have to read clear headed, and without reacting or you will be very offended.  The full daily practice routine DOES boost magical aptitude quite quickly (although some of the medical Gigong seem to cause greater body alchemy).  This exercise seems to create the single greatest benefit, and combining this with walking has had an even greater better health effect.

Like most books that I find useful but the personality of the author gets in the way,  I took the useful techniques of book, rewrote them in a journal and tried to redraw the pictures.  This greatly will internalize the techniques, and you have to do the practice.  He also has practice videos which are useful and his web site is http://www.chikung.com/.  Again,  go down to see him, put on your thick skin and get your practice on.

BONUS TIP:   For the people in the 30 day entity challenge,  try to do the original exercise for 6 repetitions or the walking version for 20 minutes and then try your rituals.

Practical Chakra Balancing: Progress, Spiritual Weightlifting and You

This is another blog post like the initial Shamanism post that I had to think about writing.  There are many web pages for working with your Chakras, unfortunately many sites seem to skip many of the details or give a very academic answer.  I hope in this blog to give you many more of the practical details, and more so, what to expect.

If you are using a Hindu metaphor for energy work, I would consider the Chakras work and balancing the equivalent to spiritual exercise.  In Chinese thought, I would consider Gigong to be the same. In both cases, your spiritual health does depend on the exercise to an extent.  Like real exercise, sometimes it is damn difficult to do it, for some of the same reasons.

So first, lets start about what are the Chakras, in my opinionated view.  I have to give the caveat, that I am not a Sadhu or Hindu priest, but I do a fair amount of energy work.

Andrieh's Take on the Chakras

Unlike many systems of metaphysics, the Chakra system has tons of information that is readily available.  A simple google search will produce tremendous information.  What those pages, and the books, often lack is some key details about what to do with them in practice.

In my experience,  the symbol, syllables, sounds and even scents are resonance tools.  The journey will be your own, and that is very important. The 7 Chakras are generally considered the main 7 of the body.  I personally, keep returning to using them.  Sometimes I like the Chinese systems more, but often, I like working with them.  There are more then 7 Chakras, but 7 generally is the main number.

Each Chakra corresponds to an psychic energy vortex that roughly corresponds to that category of psychic energy that is produced by the interaction of the body, mind and spirit.  Like many systems of energy, the Chakra system is a system that maps the subconscious and conscious mind, and the energies that the subconscious mind is producing.   In Eastern thought, this is a reflection that includes the state of the body.  Now,  the Chakras have some interesting properties that are rarely talked about.

First, each Chakra actually has a link to the other Chakras inside it, and can vibrate at a different vibration in some situations.  I like to think of this as a fractal in practice.  No one Chakra can really be thought of existing in isolation from the others.  This point is one that many sites and books miss. In practice, this means that if one Chakra is malfunctioning, it will often effect the other Chakras sometimes in odd unexpected ways. One Chakra might be weaker, and other Chakras might over compensate causing weird personality quirks or even reflecting/creating physical problems.  The above picture gives the general location name and English/Hindu name of the Chakra.

Each Charka corresponds to roughly an area of internal life.  This information is available online and in books.  I provide it here only to make the exercise I am about to give you meaningful.

What each major Chakra does:

Maslow’s Hierarchy of NeedsSeven Chakras
Self-Actualization (morality, creativity, spontaneity, problem-solving, lack of prejudice, acceptance of facts)7th Self-knowledge (soul level), higher consciousness, the greater picture
6th Imagination, awareness, self-reflection, intuition, psychic ability, intelligence, seeing the big picture
5th Power, self-expression, deeper connection to others, truthful (as you understand that speech)
Esteem (Confidence, achievement, respect of others, respect by others)4th Love, self-acceptance, balanced perspective, compassion, self-love, Agape
Love & Belongingness (Family, friendship and sexual intimacy)3rd Willpower, esteem, power and position, personal power
Safety & Security (of body, resources, family, health, employment, property)2nd Order, love and belonging, emotional security
Physiological Needs (Breathing, food , water, air, sex, sleep, homeostasis, excretion)1st Life, survival and safety

Taken and modified from psycentral.com.  Oh, I included the Maslow's Hiearchy of Needs just to give you food for thought as to how these relate to areas of life.

If you have a problem in one of the areas, chances are you can work to improve it by improving the functioning of the Chakra.  Unlike charmed however, the results may take a little time. The Chakras are a metaphor in the form of energy that talks about the interplay of body, mind and spirit.  It's the constant work that changes the spirit, mind and body over time.

Memetic Tools, Oh My
I just really love these Chakra cards.

The cursory information on the Chakras is immense.  There are Hand Mudras, Chakra cards, syllables, mantras,  symbols.   All these things help with resonance.   What is missing most of the time is how and why to put these together for effective self change or even self-progress.

For your reference,  here are some Chakra cards.

Additionally,  here is a link for some hand mudras.

In traditional Hatha Yoga, the 7 cleansing Bija mantras associated with the Chakras are:

Chakra Workout and Putting this Together
Relax and Breathe for a little while.

Start with the Root Chakra.  You an use whatever tools to activate the Chakra you want to.  Hold your hands in Root Chakra, chant the LAM mantra  and stare at the Chakra card.  There are other techniques you can get, more memetic aids from Google.   All of these tools will help you.  These are assistants to the work, not the work.  For the Root Chakra,  notice the area at the base of spine ( perineum) closer to the back.  Pay attention to the area that seems to have a sensation in that area.  See, feel, hear that area slowly moving.    Feel, see, hear that area moving in red vortex.   Now, this is key.  Don't just visualize that area moving.  Feel it, see it, and hear it.   Feel the vortex.    Picture and feel the vortex spinning.  Keep chanting, staring,  holding the Muhdra, or using the other tools.   Slowly concentrate on the area and start to feel and see the Vortex spinning faster and faster in clockwise manner.    Keep spinning the vortex, feeling, and concentrating on the area.  Now when you are spinning the vortex, you will get to a point that there is a tremendous tension.  It almost feels like your whole body tremors and then almost pops.   When I get to the popped level,  my whole body seems to glow in the red, and all seems to be super charged.   Most of the time, spinning at this level will help clear out and repair any issues with the Chakra.   After a few moments, try to go further with this.  Try to spin the Chakra even faster and faster.  This gets progressively more difficult.  Spin the Chakra as fast as you can till you perceive it spinning at light speed (I usually see the Chakra spin so fast it becomes white). This to me feels like the Chakra is working at overdrive, like a sore muscle.  I almost always get the sensation that energy is flowing up into my body from the earth.  I know this isn't stated explicitly in materials, but I have noticed that, and other people have that I work with.  It almost is a temporary hyper-functioning of the Chakra.  The period of hyper-function is great for ritual work, and it absolutely does strengthen the Chakra.   Each time doing this increases the strength of the Chakra and balances things out.  It also touches on and balances the part of the Chakra in the other energy points.

Take a couple breathes. Next, move to the Sacral Chakra.  The procedure is similar to the Root Chakra work.  Use the chants, Hand Mudras and stare at the Chakra pictures to resonate with the Chakra more.  This Chakra is located in the lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches in.  Breathe slowly, and consistently.  Use the different memetic tools which will increase the resonance to the Chakra.   Although I did't mention it with the Root Chakra,  this takes a little while for me to center in.  You might take 5-10 minutes of the mantra BIJA work or staring at the Chakra picture while breathing deeply to feel exactly where it is at.  This isn't a hint in books, but in my Reiki practice I have seen it over and over again.  After a while, you'll have the experience and have trained yourself.  Just keep working at that using those tools while concentrating on that general area.  Now as you did with the Root, start to see, feel, and hear the Chakra spinning.  Take note of how it is spinning, as that tells you if there are any issues.  It might be spinning slowly, stopped, or even spinning erratically.   Keep breathing deeply and Concentrate on that area spinning the Chakra in a clockwise manner more quickly.  As the Chakra spins faster, you will notice the irregularities correct themselves.  This may take some time meditating and doing this work.  In meditation, if I am having a problem with a Chakra, it might take a few minutes to speed up the Chakra with intention.  This is all part of the process.  The Memetic tools such as the hand gestures and mantras do help build up the speed.  As with the Root Chakra, you will get to a point in speed where it seems to pop.  For me, it's like I am so resonant with the Chakra, that the other Chakras ( and other minor Chakras too), start to resonate at the vibration of the Chakra.  Keep going past this point, till you are spinning the Chakra at light speed (and usually it become whiter for me).  This takes some practice to do.   It won't be instantaneous if you are really doing the work and it might feel alot like hard exercise.  You will get a little tired.

Next move to the Solar Plexus Chakra.  In the last two examples we pretty much covered the how to.  The Solar Plexus Chakra is located just below the navel at the Solar Plexus.  This Chakra is related being our own sun.  Again, use the various tools to build resonance with the Chakra so you can really feel where it is.    For the Solar Plexus Chakra, use a yellow sunlike vortex.  Again spin this clockwise and really feel it, not just visualize it.   Again, if it is spinning erratically, you may need to spend a few minutes with this, to really get the resonance and get it spinning.  Remember to go past the pop point of spinning, till its spinning at light speed.

Next move to the Heart Chakra.  The Heart Chakra is located near the center of the breastbone or sternum.  Again, use the various tools to build resonance with the Chakra so you can really feel where it is.    For the Heart Chakra, use a green vortex (some people will see and use pink).  Again spin this clockwise and really feel it, not just visualize it.   Again if it is spinning erratically, you may need to spend a few minutes with this, to really get the resonance and get it spinning.  Remember to go past the pop point of spinning, till its spinning at light speed.

Next move to the Throat Chakra.  The Throat Chakra is located in the throat.  Again, use the various tools to build resonance with the Chakra so you can really feel where it is.    For the Throat Chakra, use a blue vortex.  Again spin this clockwise and really feel it, not just visualize it.   Again if it is spinning erratically, you may need to spend a few minutes with this, to really get the resonance and get it spinning.  Remember to go past the pop point of spinning, till its spinning at light speed.  This Chakra is one of self expression, and is often difficult for many people.

Next move to the Third Eye Chakra.  The Third Eye Chakra is located between the eye brows.  Again, use the various tools to build resonance with the Chakra so you can really feel where it is.    For the Third Eye Chakra, use a purple vortex.  Again spin this clockwise and really feel it, not just visualize it.   Again if it is spinning erratically, you may need to spend a few minutes with this, to really get the resonance and get it spinning.  Remember to go past the pop point of spinning, till its spinning at light speed.  This Chakra is one that in our gogogo lifestyles, well this is a harder one to see the bigger picture, analysis, and intuition.

Next move to the Crown Chakra.  The Crown Chakra is located it is located either at the crown of the head or just above.    This Chakra is the connection point of the female Shakti Power to the Shiva currents.  Essentially, this is the direct line to the divinities when you separate out the various ideas around this.  This is the point of consciousness itself, and quite possibly the seat of the soul/KIA/etc.  As with all the Chakras, there are more mysteries then I can cover in the blog, but with the Crown Chakra this is doubly true.  Again, use the various tools to build resonance with the Chakra so you can really feel where it is.    For the Crown Chakra, I use a white vortex, but I know people who have used a rainbow or prismatic vortex, or even a violet color.  Again spin this clockwise and really feel it, not just visualize it.   Again if it is spinning erratically, you may need to spend a few minutes with this, to really get the resonance and get it spinning.  Remember to go past the pop point of spinning, till its spinning at light speed which for this Chakra is the easiest usually.  At first for me, the hardest part of the Crown Chakra work is actually feeling it and feeling the energy cycle.  It takes a little time, but when you get it going and connect the resonance's it seems to spin up very quickly.

Once you have gone through all the Chakras in this manner, then go through them a second time, but try to hold each Chakra in mind.  Starting at the Base Root Chakra and working up and spinning each one up to light speed (aka spinning so fast, they go to pure light).  Hold each Chakra in mind and spinning at the same time.

This creates a column of light within the energy body where all Chakras are being fully activated and in a way in hyper-fuctioning mode.  In essence, this builds and heals the energy body as each of the spinning Chakras at the same time, it will clear out the energy channels.  This is a GREAT starting point for additional ritual work that will combine both the elements of heaven and earth.  I try to get to this state and hold it for as long as I can or if I am doing other ritual work, move on to that.  The entire process is a very effective banishing.

Doing the Chakra work in this way can take 30-40 minutes ( or more if you are having some trouble spots), but I promise, the results are fantastic for magic and physical improvement.

Need more info on the Chakra's try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra  which is surprisingly good for Wikipedia.

What this does over time
Although not explicitly stated, this has the similar effects to doing the LBRP and Middle Pilar in ceremonial magic.  Essentially, it clears out every Chakra, and the body and the energy system while strengthening the energy system.  For a day or so after doing this, the Chakra will function at better then normal and degrade   if no additional practice is completed.  If you keep doing this, the Chakras will function at a better then normal as the new normal increasing the flow and availability of spiritual and physical energy.  As a daily practice, it is a powerful tool and the daily practice of it can start to cause movement on physical conditions. Now, of course, this can be combined with other tools such as CD's, meditative bells, oils, crystal bowls, tuning forks etc.  All of these tools will help to increase resonance with the Chakra.  I have not found that any of the tools are enough without really putting intention behind them and the exercise given seems to work extremely well when combined with those tools  (it works well by itself too).  This exercise is what I use to really build up the Chakras after a difficult period.

A couple key points, I know some books will say that you should spin the Chakra's counterclockwise to deal with excesses in a Chakra (thus releasing energy).  I do not agree entirely unless it is a really severe excess.  There is both an ascension style magical reason, and magical power reason I say that.  First, instead of releasing the energy or calming down a Chakra, increase the intensity that the other Chakras can operate at.  It is the flow and balance that really in my humble opinion creates the great power.   Working to increase the intensity of the other Chakras can be slightly harder, but it does create balance and it creates a new energy balance that in general forces spiritual evolution or at least an increase in magical power.   Second, the spinning done this way will help heal improperly functioning Chakras, including Chakras which need to take in outside energy (possibly from other people).  Simply put, the hyper-spinning will work to correct structural issues in the energy system but it does take a little more time.

If you need some help with some techniques of meditations or what to improve your skill, check out my first book  Hands-On Chaos Magic: Reality Manipulation through the Ovayki Current.  If you need some help working to balance out or improve your own Chakra functioning, feel free to contact me at andriehvitimus@gmail.com and book an appointment.  In addition to these techniques, I can work with you through hypnosis, metaphor and distance energy work to help increase your Chakra's effectiveness.
